Last reviewed: October 4, 2026

Altitut is committed to making its products accessible to students, educators, entrepreneurs, and institutional users.

We evaluate our products against WCAG 2.2 Level A and AA using automated testing, source review, keyboard and responsive checks, and additional manual testing where available.

These reviews are ongoing. Altitut does not currently claim that every product fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Review in progress
Last assessment

Standard
WCAG 2.1 AA, with 2.2 checks
Assessment type
Internal engineering assessment

Scope

Fourteen routes were reviewed in total. Eleven routes were exercised as part of the production automated testing sample. Three additional routes — live pitch, password reset, and presentation upload — were reviewed through source/code inspection only.

  • Organizer sign-in, dashboard, competition list, overview, entries, judges, email campaign, results, and settings
  • Student application on one closed competition, which showed interest registration rather than the full application
  • Judge portal without a live judge assignment
  • Code review of live pitch, password reset, and presentation upload

Production result

The September 14, 2026 production automated sample covered 11 pages. The login page had 0 axe violations. The remaining tested pages had 17 rule-level violations, affecting 39 nodes. The repeated failures were color contrast on status chips and small text, checkboxes without names, icon buttons without names, judge images without text alternatives, nested controls on judge cards, an unnamed progress bar, and an unnamed settings combobox.

Work prepared in source

  • Names for icon buttons, checkboxes, the progress bar, and judge images
  • Skip link, heading structure, focus indication, and required-field markup

Those source changes were not confirmed with a new production axe run. Status-chip contrast and drag-and-drop advancement were left unchanged.

Remaining verification

  • A production retest after the source fixes are deployed
  • Screen reader testing
  • 400% zoom and reflow on dense tables
  • An open student application and a judge session that uses a real assignment
  • Keyboard alternatives for drag-and-drop advancement
  • Captions for uploaded pitch video

These items remain before Altitut Competition is evaluated for a formal VPAT-based Accessibility Conformance Report.
